Our fight against homelessness

As one of five children growing up in inner-city Houston, many times Donald Driver found himself wondering where he would lay his head at night. Because of the pain that these memories hold for him, he is highly dedicated to and passionate about helping to stamp out the homelessness, one family at a time.

As the main mission of the foundation, we work to find families who have gone through a difficult period and are taking the necessary steps to regain control of their lives. We believe in a "hand up", not a "hand out", and our families are carefully selected in conjunction with shelters and counselors who have helped them on this journey. We have been fortunate enough to reach out theseveral families in both Wisconsin and Texas. In 2005, we were also able to help not only in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort, but also by directly reaching out to five displaced families who had relocated to Houston.

Every year we strive to help more people improve the quality of their lives by providing them with the peace of mind in knowing that their families have a safe place to rest their heads at night.
